Between 6 and 8 September, the ICE Kraków Congress Center will bring together more than 1,000 business leaders, government representatives and economists. This year's ABSL Summit 2023 "Lead the Way, Stay Ahead," organized by the Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL), will feature speakers including Anders Fogh Rasmussen, esteemed Danish politician and former Secretary General of NATO; Anne Applebaum, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, historian, and commentator; Mark Brzezinski, US Ambassador to Poland; and Beata Javorcik, Chief Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London.
The ABSL Summit is a key event in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the largest on the continent for the business services sector, examining global trends and their impact on economic and social development. Topics at the event will include business resilience and the sector’s ability to adapt as well as charting paths for further growth.
Janusz Dziurzyński, President of ABSL, notes: - The ABSL Summit each time focuses on the most relevant topics faced by representatives of companies in the business services sector - an industry that already employs more than 400,000 people in Poland and has become one of the main growth engines for the country’s economy. The scale, maturity and flexibility of the sector have made the CEE region the location of choice for investors. With innovation, the ability to both adapt to change and grow regardless of the economic climate, the sector has the potential to stay ahead and become a driving force for economic recovery, both to the west and east of our borders. Kraków plays a key role in this ecosystem and can also inspire by sharing its experience.
Kraków to host ABSL Summit 2023
The host city of the ABSL Summit 2023 is Kraków - one of the key locations for projects in Europe’s business services sector. The city has maintained its leading position in terms of employment in the sector for a number of years now. Almost one in four people who work in the sector are employed in centers located in Kraków. Last year, the number of employees in the sector in the Malopolska region’s capital exceeded 90,000, proving that the location is the most important business services center in Central and Eastern Europe.
Jerzy Muzyk, Deputy Mayor of Kraków, host city of the ABSL Summit 2023, emphasizes: Kraków has been attracting companies and investors for years, providing great opportunities for growth for both new and existing representatives of the modern services sector. This doesn't happen without a reason - the highly qualified workforce, for whom the city provides an excellent quality of life, as well as the availability of high-end office space make Krakow an excellent location for business. We are proud that it is in our city that innovative ideas for product development, technology and business processes are being born. There will certainly be no shortage of inspiring topics at the upcoming "ABSL Summit," so I would like to invite you to attend the event and take advantage of the hospitality offered in Kraków.
